The War in Syria, frequently called as the Syrian civil war, it's a multi-sided war conflict started in 2011 between the Syrian Arab and the rebels. It is unclear why the war started but the excuse was when the moderate rebels as they've been called make use of weapons in some to be peaceful protests. Soon the Syrian security forces responded to the fire. Details of that event are still unclear.
The Syrian Army, officially called the Syrian Arab Army it is fighting for the freedom of Syria from terrorist and foreign occupation. Russia has officially join the war in the side of Syria along with Hezbollah and other militias. SSNP and NDF offer their forces to the Syrian government.
*Mention on Hezbollah, it used to be a terrorist organization which in time reformed to a more democratic militia, it was only when its very existence was at the edge. Hezbollah offered the choices by the Lebanese people, either to stop any plans on islamization of Lebanon and co-exist within the country in peace, or to be overthrown.
The composition of the rebels is a variety of moderate to extremist local and foreign terrorist groups. Al-Qaeda rebranded to Al-Nusra, HTS, ISIS are some of the terrorist groups of the opposition. Turkey it's the main supporter of the opposition, providing materials, finance, weapons, training and aid with the Turkish army and mercenaries. The opposition fighting to over take the Syrian government and assume power with the use of weapons, possible to create a more strict islamic entity. Many of them joined opposition groups or became mercenaries for Turkey. Different democratic forces on their own or as alliances hit and destroyed the Islamic State, notable the Kurdish led SDF with American support, Syrian Army with Russian support and Iraqi Army with American support.
The Kurds and the Syrian Democratic Forces. SDF, is a Kurd-Arab coalition in North Syria. North Syria cut off by terrorist groups, Kurd militias defended their areas from ISIS attacks, however Kurds didn't invited on peace talks despite they requested it several times. Kurds proposed a coalition to the local Arab tribes on North Syria, the SDF, or else they would announce autonomy on their areas. Syrian Democratic Forces formed, fight ISIS and secure North Syria. SDF looking for autonomy within Syria.

The war in Libya is war after a war. From 2014 the conflict it is between the Libyan Army and GNA.
The Libyan Army, LNA it is Libya's national army ordered by the elected parliament of Libya the House of Representatives to restore security and sovereignty over the whole of Libyan territory for Libya to go on general democratic elections. Egypt, UAE, Greece and Jordan supporting Libya.
GNA is a none-elected government in Libya, supposed to be a transitional government until new elections took place. GNA is the islamist-led GNC government. GNC after the chaos of 2011, elected themselves with a "popular" vote, failed on the process, general elections elected the House of Representatives. The HoR then was willing to share power with the GNC in specific terms and for the sake of Libya's transition and stability. The newly formed GNA from the islamist-led GNC failed again. UN temporarily recognized GNA under terms, conditions and timeline as it was supported by HoR. However GNA violate the terms and conditions and beyong the timeline its legality expired. GNA composed of terrorist groups fighting to keep power for themselves, refused to allow election process in the areas they are controlling. GNA turned to Turkey and its terrorist mercenaries for support. Thousands Turkish terrorists and mercenaries from Idlib and elsewhere transported by Turkey in Libya along with heavy weapons in violation with the international guns embargo to Libya.
