The Iraqi Intelligence Directorate announced that its security forces had arrested three members of the terrorist organization ISIS and destroyed a network of tunnels and maps of the organization.
The directorate said in a statement that the security forces were able to arrest three terrorist elements in the Raghba Khatun area of Al-Adhamiya district in Baghdad, noting that the detainees are wanted by the judiciary according to an arrest warrant.
The statement also stated that the security forces destroyed a network of secret tunnels after extracting a number of important books and manuscripts in the southeast of Kirkuk governorate in the Kurdistan region.
This operation comes as a continuation of two military campaigns launched after the twin suicide bombing that struck the capital, Baghdad, last January.
