The government said that the German Constitutional Protection Authority and the German Internal Intelligence Service monitored increasingly open communications between the Turkish regime and the "Milli Görüş movement," linked to the Muslim brotherhood, confirming that Erdogan was a member.
The German government has revealed links between members of "Görüş", the Muslim Brotherhood and the Turkish Islamic Federation, as they receive orders directly from the Turkish Religious Affairs Directorate, which is under the direct supervision of Erdogan.
In turn, the German MP for the Left Party, Sevim Dağdelen, said, "The government has revealed for the first time Erdogan's ideological and political roots that go back to the anti-democratic Brotherhood."
The German MP confirmed that Erdogan's network poses a threat to the public security in the country, calling for its dismantling instead of supporting it, referring to financing mosques run by the Turkish Islamic Union with taxpayer money in some German states.
During the past years, the organizations run by the Turkish regime, in cooperation with the Brotherhood, have intensified their movements to destabilize European societies, spread extremism, and spy on Turkish opponents.
