"The Egyptian army is able to end the Turkish presence in Libya," the European Press Agency said, quoting European experts.
The agency added, "Egypt reaffirmed that it will not accept any violation of its red lines in the Libyan conflict by Turkey," pointing to the statement of the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, that "his country was targeted by terrorist organizations from Libya," stressing that " Egypt will defend its national interests.
The agency added that "many European experts have already confirmed that the Egyptian army can defeat the Turkish forces and expel them from Libya before Ankara can send reinforcements in the event of a comprehensive confrontation between the two countries."
The agency added that what distinguishes Egypt in Libya is the common border that extends 1115 km and allows it to deploy its forces quickly in Libya. In addition, it is taking advantage of the Muhammed Naguib base, the largest in the Middle East, which is near the Libyan border, in addition to that the Egyptian forces are used to fighting in the desert due to their operations in the Sinai desert.
The agency quoted Shokry as saying in a press conference, that "Egypt has conducted during the past days extensive consultations with Arab countries and partners in the international arena to confirm that the Egyptian position helped achieve peace and stability in Libya within the framework of the ceasefire."
He added that "Egypt does not aim to escalate, but seeks to stabilize the situation in the Libyan arena from the military point of view, and to create a space for the inclusion of all components of the Libyan people in the political process."
"My thanks" explained that "therefore Egypt will defend its interests, that it will continue to support the political track, but will not accept in any way any kind of infringement or penetration of the borders that have been identified to defend the national interests and national security of Egypt."
