Despite Western and Arab calls to stop foreign interference in Libya and not to violate the arms embargo, the Turkish regime continues to send weapons and mercenaries to Libya, according to UN reports confirmed this time.
In this context, the UN Sanctions Committee announced that the Turkish regime sent between seven thousand and fifteen thousand Syrian mercenaries affiliated to it, according to a report of the UN committee.
The report of the committee said that Libya has turned into a large arms market due to the continued breach of the arms embargo on this country, which has been in conflict for years, which constitutes a threat to Arab and international stability, due to the interference of external parties.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has stated that the Turkish regime continues to transfer the mercenaries of its Syrian factions towards Libyan territory, to participate in military operations alongside the government forces of reconciliation against the Libyan army. The arrival of new batches during the past few days coincided with the return of other batches to Syrian territory after their contracts ended there.
According to the statistics of the Observatory, the number of mercenaries who have gone to Libyan territory so far has increased to about 16,500 mercenaries of Syrian nationality, including 350 children under the age of 18, while 5,850 of them have returned to Syria.
In addition, the Justice and Development Government continues to bring more elements of its factions to its camps in order to train them, and subsequently plunged them into Libya's battles in implementation of its colonial plans in Libya in particular and North Africa in general.
