Inevitably, the US sanctions that were prepared due to its provocations and practices are inevitable. The Turkish regime is within the range of the Congress’s sanctions, which unanimously approved a bill that compels US President Donald Trump to punish Turkey for its purchase of the Russian S-400 defense system.
The US House of Representatives unanimously adopted the amendment, which was submitted by Republican Representative Adam Kinsinger and Democratic Rep. Abigail Spanberger, as part of the annual defense authorization bill, according to the US Monitor.
During the presentation of the project, last week, Kinzinger said in a statement, that Turkey had ignored the warnings of NATO members regarding this arms deal with Russia, and accepted the first batch of the Russian S-400 missile defense system, and that such actions would not be tolerated by US, and it was entitled to punish it for these violations.
Representative Mike McCall, who helped draft the amendment to the law prepared by Kensinger, stressed that the administration must impose the sanctions required by law in response to Turkey's acquisition of the S400, until Turkey takes the steps outlined in this law to repair the damage caused by the purchase.
In turn, Senator James Rich, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, offered a similar amendment to the Senate defense bill, and it remains unclear whether the Senate will add an amendment of sanctions against Turkey to the House version.
The Turkish regime chose the S-400 instead of the US combat aircraft last year, which raised fears in Washington that Moscow might spy on the US military services.
