The Tunisian Defense Minister, Emad Al-Hazqi, announced that his country has increased precaution and caution, after monitoring an escalation in the frequency of attempts to infiltrate from Libya.
Al-Hizqi explained that the concerns raised about the Tunisian border are due to the dangerous and exceptional situation in Libya, which is witnessing a state of war and a large influx of mercenaries and weapons, adding that this situation prompted them to deploy the national army along the border.
The Minister affirmed that all attempts at infiltration will be dealt with strictly and professionally, especially since the border areas are military buffer zones, and the law allows the army to use all means to prevent such phenomena.
