The Iraqi President Barham Saleh called on the Turkish regime to stop unilateral measures and cooperation between Iraq and Turkey to solve border problems.
Saleh stressed the need for the international community to support his country to maintain its sovereignty, security and stability in the face of Turkish attacks on the Kurdistan region, and to stop what he called repeated Turkish military violations on Iraqi territory.
Regarding the Iraq war against ISIS, Saleh praised France’s support for Iraq and its contribution to the efforts of the international coalition in the war against the terrorist organization and drying its sources of financing.
During his meeting with French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, Saleh discussed ways to develop strategic cooperation between the two countries and the contribution of French companies in the reconstruction of liberated cities.
